Controlling the Units

Like lobster or high seas trap fishery the Robo-Skimmers are deployed, controlled and serviced from a modified normal fisher boat.  One ship can service various skimmers at a time, delivers data back to land and enables research on land.

A trawler propelled like a Kuckucks Clock

Low cost, ready-made parts

The trawler could be made out of a simple solid stamped or laser cut steel frame in combination with water bottles to create enough bouyance.

Moving like a Manta Ray

Since I saw the FinRay Effect (R) for the first time it really fascinated me. You can create very complex movements with very simple actuators and a very clever mechanical which was invented at EvoLogics GmbH in Berlin, Germany.
